Frequently Asked Questions

How does the KS1 CKM sensor measure my ketone level?

The ketone body β-hydroxybutyrate(BHB) present in the interstitial fluid consistently permeates the enzyme layer on the CKM sensor probe, and oxidises to generate an electrical signal. Subsequently, the sensor transmits this electrical signal to the receiver and a proprietary algorithm transforms the signal into measurable ketone levels. As a result, the KS1 CKM app is capable of streaming your real-time ketone level.

How can I benefit from a Continuous Ketone Monitoring system?

A Continuous Ketone Sensor, is a next generation tool for monitoring ketone levels. It offers accurate and real-time readings, eliminating the need for frequent blood sampling. By tracking ketone levels, you can optimise your ketogenic diet, ensure you stay in ketosis, and gain personalised keto insights for better results. The sensor is especially useful during and after exercise, helping you assess the impact of workouts on ketone production. With the KS1 CKM Sensor, you can make informed decisions about your diet, exercise, and overall well-being. It can help you stay on track with your ketogenic lifestyle and achieve your health and fitness goals with data-driven precision.

Can  the KS1 CKM be used for medical purposes?

No. This product is not intended for medical purposes and is not designed to provide any medical advice. Please do not use this product as a substitute for medical equipment or medical consultation. This product is only intended to provide a convenient solution for accessing real-time information about your metabolic state.

Where can the KS1 CKM sensor be worn?

The KS1 CKM sensor has been tested and approved to be worn on the back of the upper arm for up to 14 days.

Is the KS1 CKM waterproof?

The IP28 waterproof rating means that the KS1 CKM can withstand being submerged in 1 metre deep water for up to 30 minutes, so it certainly can be worn during showering, swimming and bathing (as long as the bath temperature does not exceed 40°C).

We recommend caution wearing your CKM sensor during activities such as hot saunas, snorkeling, surfing, and high-speed water sports, as high temperatures or rapid water flow can reduce the sensor adhesiveness, increasing the risk of sensor detachment. Please use the provided overpatch and add extra tape if needed to keep the sensor secure.

I'm having trouble with my CKM. How can I get help?
